Adding personalized and one of a kind touches to a wedding can make it the most memorable for you and all of your guests and everything about this wedding was unique! Even though things were completely switched around once it started, their wedding planner and all available hands were able to make everything transition smoothly. This couple went all out mixing Harry Potter, the Walking Dead and a few minions into their special day. The hand made flower arch and floating candles above their head table added great touches to their decor. To start, personalized cocktails were served including some labeled “Moaning Myrtle” and “the Men of Letter.” In addition to zombie filled centerpieces, the couple opted to add board games on the table for their guests to enjoy throughout their reception.
We were able to provide them with two features that definitely made them stand out. By adding a video wall as a backdrop in their reception area, they were able to play their Walking Dead inspired engagement video for all their guests. For their first dance the couple played the video of the minions wedding scene from Despicable Me 2 as they danced along to the minion rendition of the song “I Swear” by Boyz II Men.
Furthering adding technological elements, the couple helped design a 3D video mapped cake. The plain white cake transitioned from blood dripping down the side (inspired by zombies) to their names flying out of the Goblet of Fire’s flames.

This week, Illuminated Events would like to spotlight Julie & Dominik's wedding! Although, they got married at the courthouse many months before, the couple wanted to share their love by having a small ceremony and reception for family and friends. We had the privilege of working with them to put together an intimate celebration.
For their second ceremony and reception, the planning process started out smoothly but at the last minute, their venue needed to be switched! What a nightmare! "What started as out as a breeze... suddenly became a complete crazy fest", Julie recalls. They had to find a new venue, rearrange all their vendors and spend their downtime before the wedding making last minute changes. Thankfully, all their vendors were able to work with them and make sure everything was good to go for their event. Even though things were a little crazy leading up to the wedding, Julie says they “had an amazing night filled with love and laughter.”

John was a pilot and Tina a ticket agent. Not only did Tina's smile and warm personality make customers feel better but it also caught the captain's eye.
As John worked as an airline pilot he couldn't help but notice the pretty girl at the ticket counter. Eventually John was able to convince Tina to be his co-pilot through life and he wanted to make their background a big part of their special day!
Illuminated Events would like to congratulate Nicole & Franklin as they celebrate their 6 month anniversary as husband and wife! We had the privilege of helping them put together their New Years Eve wedding full of love and originality.
Nicole recalls how complete she felt the moment she and her husband walked down the aisle together as husband and wife after their vows. Walking into their reception hall was an exhilarating moment for both of them. Finally seeing the "perfectly" finished product that they had both worked so hard to plan and pay for. In the end, they felt it was money well spent!
For their honeymoon, the decided on a stay-cation at the Sand and Sea Resort in Laguna Beach so they could be close to home and available to their children if needed. Their dedication to each other and their family is too sweet and we wish them a wonderful lifetime together as best friends
A big congratulations to Sammy & Steve on finally tying the knot! High school sweethearts that both come from wonderful families. It was an absolute pleasure to work with all of you on your special day! Thank you to our minister Paul Uhlar and our very talented florist Jacelynn Juarez for doing such a great job!

Johnny and Ian's wedding at the Palm Springs Riviera was a cozy, intimate wedding. Ian and I connected after their first (slightly difficult) wedding planner had confirmed their lighting package. The ceremony took place on the Wexlar Lawn as the sun was setting and after a brief cocktail hour, the space was transformed for a beautiful dinner under the stars and cafe lights. I was so glad that they were able to stay true to themselves and their vision for their special day. Congratulations!
We were so honored to be able to work with an amazing group of vendors for Raizalyn and Allan's wedding! The charming location in San Juan Capistrano at Serra plaza was a perfect venue for this jam packed reception. This couple thought of everything, photo booth, boba station, and even a fresh coffee bar, but don't forget the 2 separate locations for dancing the night away! Here is just a little sneak peak at how everything turned out!

Thanks to a referral from our friends at Persiano Events we were able to illuminate this special couples night, at the SLS Hotel Los Angeles, with our uplights and pinspots. What a difference it made and what a beautiful wedding! Congratulation to Haleh & Azad!
Also, a big thank you to Jim Kennedy Photographers for the lovely photos!
Congratulations to the happy couple!
Prairie emailed me long before their wedding at the Cerritos Presbyterian Church. She wanted lighting that would give the church gymnasium a rustic chic feel. Immediately cafe lights popped into my head. Yes, it's true that cafe lights aren't used much indoors, but with the high ceilings I knew we would be able to achieve the look that she wanted. Thank you for allowing us to illuminate your special day with our lighting!
We were contacted the week prior to this wedding by one of the groomsmen Jordan, he was so frantic that the grooms forgot to book the lighting for their wedding. Imagine that an owner of a nightclub and his soon to be Mr. forgot to book the lighting for their reception! We were able to step in right away and put together a beautiful lighting design for them. We were so honored to be able to provide our lighting services to Zach and Edwin. What a beautiful wedding at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego on August 8th, 2014.
We worked with Sassafras Events on this beautiful Indian wedding at the Crowne Plaza San Pedro!
Congratulations Megan and Josh! What a beautiful wedding that happened right at sunset right on the beach. We were able to provide our standard bistro lighting accented with paper lanterns in mint and white. Thank you for letting us illuminate your special day!

Ann and Ricky had such busy schedules that we couldn't meet with them until a week before their wedding! Even with the short notice, we were able to transform Mon Amour Restaurant into a stunning and dazzling space for their wedding reception. Uplights, moving lights to get everyone dancing and texture turned the hall into a dream come true!

Although Ann & Ricky had a busy schedule and we were unable to meet with them until a week before their wedding, we were excited to turn a banquet hall into something spectacular just for them! Here is a quick peek at the beautiful couple at Mon Amour.

Congrats Juan and Leslie! We were so thrilled getting to work with this awesome couple. Helping them coordinate their wedding was a breeze! Leslie came prepared to our meeting with swatches of her wedding colors for us to have so that we could match the colors in her uplighting. Thank you for letting Illuminated Events be apart of your wedding!

We're so thankful to be apart of such wonderful weddings! We couldn't be happier that we were able to feature this beautiful couple and their special day in OC Bride's Real Wedding Section.
